BENNY RODRIGUEZ
What's important now
My camp
Pull side is where he does damage. The two hardest balls went to left-center... his next block hunts that ball more often.
My IPDP · individual player development plan
One point today. Every new block adds his newest numbers... a TBC23 camp, a partner college camp, or a TrackMan file from his facility.
Who swings like me
Why him: same position, same side, and the same shape to his game... line drives on a low launch, plus speed that turns singles into pressure. 2026 Statcast.
Mental game
- Visualization. See the pitch you're hunting before you leave the dugout.
- In the hole. Watch the pitcher's timing. Pick your go zone.
- On deck. Time his fastball. Swing on his rhythm.
- Own the box. One breath, 1-1-2. Eyes to your focal point. Go automatic.
Your light is red or blue. Blue = present and ready. Red = reset with one breath before the next pitch.
Recruiting
Coach,
I'm Benny Rodriguez, a 2031 center fielder from The Sandlot. At the TBC23 Winter Prospect Camp I ran a 4.02 home to first and hit 87.9 mph off the bat on TrackMan.
Two asks: would you call my coaches, and could you come watch me play?
